Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GetProtectors, LLC ("GetProtectors," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the getprotectors.com website and booking platform (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, or completing a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
2. Description of Service
GetProtectors operates a marketplace that connects clients ("Clients") with licensed, vetted security professionals ("Protectors") for personal protection, executive security, event security, and related services. GetProtectors is a platform intermediary and is not itself a licensed security agency.
All Protectors operating through the platform are independent contractors who hold the required licenses, certifications, and insurance for their jurisdiction. GetProtectors vets and verifies credentials but is not the employer of any Protector.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password confidential and not share account access
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, pose a risk to the platform or its users.
4. Booking and Payment
4.1 Booking Process
When you submit a booking request, you are making an offer to engage a Protector under the terms displayed at checkout. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of our written confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any booking for any reason.
4.2 Pricing
All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) and include the platform service fee. Prices are based on the duration, protector tier, and any add-ons (e.g., armored transportation) selected at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings are honored at the rate quoted.
4.3 Payment
Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of booking confirmation. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the total amount shown. All sales are in USD. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
4.4 Overtime
If your engagement extends beyond the originally booked duration, additional hours will be charged at the applicable hourly rate. You will be notified before overtime charges are applied.
5. Client Responsibilities
As a Client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the nature of the engagement, including known threats or risks
- Not request Protectors to perform illegal acts or activities outside the scope of security services
- Treat Protectors professionally and with respect
- Not attempt to engage Protectors directly outside the platform to circumvent fees
- Comply with all applicable laws during the engagement
Failure to disclose material information about the nature of an engagement may result in cancellation without refund and termination of your account.
6. Scope of Services and Limitations
Protectors on the GetProtectors platform provide lawful security services including close protection, event security, and residential security. Protectors are not authorized to:
- Perform armed services unless the Protector holds the required firearms license in the applicable jurisdiction and this is explicitly arranged through the platform
- Conduct surveillance, investigations, or intelligence gathering on third parties
- Take any action that violates applicable law
GetProtectors does not guarantee a specific outcome from any security engagement. Security services are provided on a best-efforts basis.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
Our cancellation and refund policies are governed by the Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully before booking.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by GetProtectors, LLC and are protected by US and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. GETPROTECTORS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GETPROTECTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY SECURITY ENGAGEMENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC BOOKING GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GetProtectors, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Judgment on any award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration against GetProtectors.
12. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by sending an email notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
