Cancellation Policy

72+ hours before

100% refund

Full refund issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

24–72 hours before

50% refund

Half the booking amount refunded. The remaining 50% covers protector reservation and preparation costs.

Less than 24 hours

No refund

Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the start time are non-refundable. The protector has been committed to your engagement.

No-show / No contact

No refund

If you fail to appear or make contact within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time, the booking is forfeited with no refund.

1. How to Cancel a Booking

To cancel a confirmed booking, log in to your GetProtectors account and navigate to My Bookings. Select the booking you wish to cancel and click Cancel Booking. You will receive a cancellation confirmation email within minutes.

Alternatively, you may contact us directly at support@getprotectors.com or by phone at 1-800-555-1234 (24/7). The cancellation time is recorded as the time your request is received, not the time we respond.

2. Refund Processing

Eligible refunds are returned to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your card issuer but typically appear within:

  • Credit and debit cards: 5–7 business days
  • ACH / bank transfers: 3–5 business days

GetProtectors does not charge a cancellation fee for bookings cancelled outside the 24-hour window. Platform service fees are non-refundable for cancellations within 24 hours.

3. Modifications to Bookings

You may request modifications to a confirmed booking (change of date, time, location, or duration) up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to protector availability. Modifications are not guaranteed and are treated as a new booking if the change materially alters the scope of services.

Price differences arising from modifications (e.g., extended duration, additional protectors) will be charged or credited accordingly.

4. No-Show Policy

A no-show occurs when a Client fails to appear at the confirmed location within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time without prior notice. In a no-show situation:

  • No refund will be issued
  • The protector will remain on standby for up to 30 minutes, then be released
  • Repeat no-shows may result in account suspension

5. Cancellations by GetProtectors

In rare circumstances, GetProtectors may need to cancel a confirmed booking due to protector unavailability, safety concerns, force majeure events, or other extraordinary circumstances. In such cases:

  • You will be notified as soon as possible
  • A full refund will be issued regardless of timing
  • We will make reasonable efforts to find an equivalent replacement protector

6. Emergency Situations

We understand that genuine emergencies arise. If you need to cancel due to a documented emergency (medical emergency, natural disaster, or similar extraordinary event) within the standard no-refund window, please contact us immediately at support@getprotectors.com with relevant documentation. Emergency cancellations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be eligible for a partial or full credit toward a future booking.

7. Disputes

If you believe a cancellation was processed incorrectly or you were charged in error, contact us at support@getprotectors.com within 30 days of the booking date. All disputes are subject to the terms of the Terms of Service.
