Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about booking protection services through GetProtectors.
Booking & Scheduling
How quickly can I book a bodyguard?+
In most major cities, we can confirm a protector within 2–4 hours. For same-day bookings, contact us directly. Advance bookings of 24+ hours are always recommended for availability and to allow proper preparation.
What is the minimum booking duration?+
The minimum booking is 4 hours. This ensures proper preparation time and allows the agent to familiarize themselves with your specific situation and requirements.
Can I request the same protector for multiple assignments?+
Absolutely. Continuity of protection is a major advantage of working with GetProtectors. Once you have worked with a protector, you can request them directly for future bookings based on availability.
Vetting & Trust
Are your protectors licensed and insured?+
Yes. Every protector on our platform is state-licensed, carries professional liability insurance, and has passed a comprehensive background check. Many hold additional certifications in close protection, tactical driving, and first aid.
Is my information kept confidential?+
Absolute discretion is a core principle of our service. Your personal information, booking details, and all assignment specifics are kept strictly confidential. Our protectors operate under a professional confidentiality standard.
Pricing & Payment
Do you offer any discounts?+
Yes. Every booking made online through our website receives 10% off automatically, and an extra 5% when you book 14 or more days in advance — for a total of up to 15% off. You will see the savings on the summary and payment screens. Long-booking discounts of 10-15% also apply for 8+, 12+, and 24+ hour engagements. Online and advance discounts cannot be combined with retainer or enterprise contract pricing.
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept Cash App, Zelle, Chime, Apple Pay, and bank wire transfers. After booking, our team will send you payment instructions directly to your email or phone. Once payment is received and verified, your booking is confirmed. A 4-hour minimum applies to all bookings.
What is your cancellation policy?+
Cancellations made 24+ hours before the scheduled assignment receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. No-shows are charged in full.

General
What is the difference between a bodyguard and a security guard?+
A bodyguard provides close personal protection — they stay with you, assess threats in real time, and are trained in personal protection tactics. A security guard typically manages a fixed location. Our protectors are close protection professionals, not static guards.
Do your protectors carry firearms?+
Armed protection is available depending on your state, the nature of the assignment, and legal requirements. You can specify armed or unarmed preference during booking. Our armed agents are fully licensed and trained for armed close protection.
Is hiring a bodyguard worth the cost?+
For individuals facing credible threats, public exposure, or operating in elevated-risk environments, professional close protection is one of the most effective risk-mitigation investments available. The right protector handles advance work, threat assessment, and incident response that goes well beyond a uniformed guard presence. A free 15-minute consultation can clarify whether your situation warrants professional protection.
Can I hire an armed bodyguard?+
Yes. Armed bodyguard protection is available subject to state licensing. Our armed protectors hold current state armed-carry permits (e.g. Exposed Firearm Permit in California, Carry Business Permit in NYC). Specify armed preference at booking. Armed details typically include a small premium over standard hourly rates due to liability coverage.
