How city pricing works
Base rates are national. A location multiplier is applied on top:
The multiplier reflects state licensing burden, the concentration of principals competing for the same licensed protectors, and local insurance cost. California and New York both impose heavier licensing requirements than most states, which narrows the pool of qualified agents.
Four-hour minimum by city and plan
Every booking carries a four-hour minimum. These are list totals before discounts.
Booking online takes ten percent off these figures, and booking fourteen days ahead another five.
What changes by market

What matters more than city
For most bookings, three factors move the total further than geography does.
Timing. Weekends add twenty percent, holidays twenty-five, and same-day requests thirty. Moving a Saturday booking to a Wednesday saves more than relocating from Miami to Dallas would.
Duration. Eight hours takes ten percent off, twelve hours twelve percent, twenty-four hours fifteen.
Team size. Additional protectors are $99 an hour and additional vehicles $79. A second protector adds more to a Lite booking than any city multiplier.
A same-day Saturday booking in Dallas costs more than a planned weekday booking in Manhattan, which is worth knowing before you assume the market is the expensive part.
